How Campigo uses cookies
This page explains which cookies our platform uses today, and what will change before we ever activate analytics or marketing cookies. Version 1.0, effective as of September 9, 2026.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you use campigotravel.com. They let us, among other things, keep you logged in and remember your preferences.
2. Cookies currently used on the platform
Today we use only our own (first-party) cookies, necessary for the platform to work or to remember your preferences: • campigo-session — keeps you logged in, until logout or session expiry. Necessary — no consent required. • NEXT_LOCALE — remembers your chosen language (Polish/English), kept for 365 days. • campigo-currency — remembers your chosen display currency (EUR/PLN), kept for 365 days. • campigo-consent — remembers your choice in the cookie consent banner (see Section 4), kept for 365 days. Necessary — no consent required. • _ga, _ga_<container-id> (Google Analytics 4) — distinguish unique users and sessions for visit statistics, kept for 2 years. Analytics — set only after your consent in the banner (see Section 4). We do not currently use any cookies for marketing/advertising purposes.
3. Default language and currency based on approximate location
On your first visit, if you don't yet have saved preferences, we make a one-time query to an external IP geolocation service to set a sensible default language and currency (e.g. Poland → Polish/PLN, elsewhere → English/EUR). Your IP address is used only for this one-time purpose and is not stored — only the resulting default is saved in the cookies above.
4. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) and marketing cookies
The cookie consent banner is already active — on your first visit you can accept all, reject non-essential cookies, or choose categories individually (Necessary, Analytics, Marketing). We use the Google Analytics 4 tool (provider: Google Ireland Limited) to analyze visit statistics — it is loaded, and the relevant cookies are set, only when you select the "Analytics" category in the banner (or click "Accept all"); until then, no data is sent to Google. IP anonymization is enabled in our Google Analytics configuration. We do not currently use any cookies or technologies for marketing/advertising purposes (such as Meta Pixel) — the "Marketing" category in the banner is prepared for future use, but your choice in it does not currently result in any cookie being set. Before we ever actually activate a marketing tool, we will update this Policy with its name and details. Withholding or withdrawing consent will never block core features like booking or payment. You can change your choice at any time from the "Manage cookie preferences" link in the footer.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also manage cookies directly through your browser's settings, including blocking or deleting them. Note that blocking the necessary session cookie will prevent you from logging in, and blocking the language/currency cookies means we'll re-detect a default on every visit instead of remembering your choice.
